25 Years. One Industry.
A Decision That Changed Everything.
I spent nearly a decade as a licensed Florida RV dealer turning away the people who needed help most. This is the story of why I walked away — and what I built instead.

Grown Up
on the Move
The foundation of everything I do today was shaped long before I ever set foot on an RV lot.
I grew up as an Air Force kid — which means I grew up everywhere. New bases, new schools, new cities, new people. Adaptability wasn't something I learned. It's just what life was.
That upbringing gave me something most salespeople never develop: a genuine curiosity about people's situations. Where they're coming from. What they're dealing with. What they actually need — not just what they say they want.
Before I ever touched the RV industry, I spent years in restaurants and behind bars. Not the most glamorous career on paper, but one of the best educations in reading people, staying calm under pressure, and building trust quickly with strangers. Skills that turned out to matter enormously in what came next.
“Every table, every customer, every shift taught me the same thing: people don’t just want a transaction. They want to feel like someone actually gives a damn.”
When I found the RV industry in the late 1990s, everything clicked. It combined the people skills I’d built with a product I genuinely loved — the idea of freedom, of adventure, of families making memories on the road. I was all in from day one.
How 25 Years in One
Industry Gets Built
Joined the RV industry as a salesman. Learned the business from the ground up — inventory, financing, negotiation, customer psychology. Built a reputation for straight talk over sales tactics from day one.
Worked across multiple facets of the Florida RV market. Saw thousands of transactions. Started recognizing the patterns — the situations that always fell through the cracks, the sellers no one wanted to help. Filed those observations away.
Opened my own licensed Florida RV consignment dealership. Immediately set myself apart: “People don’t need to bring their RV here — I’ll come to them.” Naples Daily News took notice and ran a feature story. Built a 4.7-star Google rating from 40+ Florida families over the next 9 years.
Helped hundreds of Florida families sell their RVs. Became a go-to for complex situations. But as the years went on, one problem kept gnawing at me: the consignment model was systematically turning away the people who needed help most.
After 9 years and deep reflection, I surrendered my dealer license and became an independent consultant. No more commission model. No inventory to push. No reason to say no to the people who needed help most. Easy Escapes RV became something new — built specifically for the cases every other dealer walks away from.
Serving Florida RV sellers statewide. Specializing in the situations traditional dealers reject. Flat fee. No commission. No agenda. Just 25 years of experience applied honestly to your situation.
The Problem I Couldn’t
Stop Thinking About
Here’s the part of the story I don’t hear other dealers talk about. During my 9 years running Easy Escapes RV as a licensed consignment dealership, something bothered me constantly.
Think about that. The people calling me in the most desperate situations — the widow who just lost her husband and has no idea what to do with the RV in the driveway, the family facing repossession, the executor of an estate three states away — those were the people the entire industry was designed to reject.
We’d say “sorry, we can’t help” and send them back to figure it out on their own. No referral. No guidance. No path forward.
“I kept thinking: these are the people who need help most. And the industry is perfectly designed to walk away from every single one of them.”
I recognized the problem clearly by year three. It took me six more years to figure out what to do about it — and another year to build up the courage to actually do it. In 2024, I gave up my dealer license.
Not because business was bad. Because I finally understood that the license itself was the constraint. As long as I ran a commission-based consignment dealership, I could never help the people who needed help most. The model made that mathematically impossible.
The Principles I Haven’t
Compromised In 25 Years
These aren’t marketing lines. They’re the things that got me into trouble with the commission model — because I believed them even when the model didn’t reward it.
If your RV isn’t worth what you think it is, I’ll tell you. If I’m not the right solution for your situation, I’ll tell you that too. I’d rather lose a client in the first conversation than steer someone wrong for a fee.
No assistants. No call center. No “someone will get back to you.” When you call Easy Escapes RV, you get me. Same person you hired. Same person who knows your situation. Every time.
I charge a flat fee. I don’t earn more if you sell for more. I don’t earn less if the process is complicated. My incentive is your outcome — not my commission. That alignment matters more than people realize.
Underwater loans. Estate sales. Divorce. Repossession threat. Failed private sales. These aren’t problems I tolerate — they’re the situations I specifically built this service for. The harder the case, the more value I bring.
I serve Florida’s Spanish-speaking RV owners in their own language. Florida has over 400,000 Spanish-speaking households — and almost no RV professionals who can serve them properly. That gap matters to me.
My Appraisal Confidence Guarantee means if you’re not satisfied after the first engagement, you get your money back and keep the report. Zero risk to find out if we’re a fit. That’s how confident I am in what I deliver.
The Proof Is in the People
I’ve Actually Helped
No stock testimonials. No made-up names. These are real Florida families who trusted me with a real financial situation.
Frank is one of those rare people who does what he says he’ll do. He told me what he would get me for my RV and did exactly that. He is friendly, kind, and trustworthy. Do yourself a favor and pass the other dealerships by and call Frank. I am confident you will be glad you did.
Frank at Easy Escapes recently sold our travel trailer. He was professional, courteous and answered all of our questions throughout the process. I highly recommend Easy Escapes if you need to sell your RV.
Frank from Easy Escapes RV did a great job selling my RV in under three weeks. He was professional in our dealings and knowledgeable about our coach.
